The Book
I’m writing a book about my walk across the United States. Still working on a few ideas for a title, but mostly just focused on the actual writing right now.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I walked across America from Lewes, DE to San Francisco, CA. Started February 26 and ended October 15th. I walked walked over 3,000 miles in 14 states.
The trip changed my life, and I have a lot of stories to tell. So I’m planning on doing that.
If you’re interested in staying updated with the writing process and reading sections as I go, as well as getting the book before anyone else does, sign up for the email list through the little form below.
You rock.

Nate,
Congratulations, what a tremendous accomplishment.
The reason for my email, is that a couple of days ago I had a vision for doing a walk across America. I have so many questions.
But here are a few to start.
How did you map out the route and coordinate your stops?
How did you finance your trip? How much did it cost?
What types of footwear did you wear and how many different pairs did you go through?
Did you have a tent and did you have a large backpack?
Would you recommend bringing a dog with you?
How many miles could you cover in a day lets say on flat terrain?
Did you use twitter?
In addition any other advice you can give me when planning adventure.
I am in Alaska, not sure if I can walk from here, maybe snowmachine..
Can’t wait till your book comes out!!
Cheers,
Mike
@ Mike – Will shoot you an email!
Would be awesome to see the answers to this question as an article. I’d be interested too.
Working on it right now
Should be up in the next week or so.
Hey we met in Ironton Missouri, kinda lost track of what was going on glad to here you finished. I got some pictures I took of you when I picked you up on E Hwy. I also got some picks of you and the kids playing basketball. Just in case you don’t remember you camped in my back yard.
